Happi Paper Has Arms!!
As promised … Happi Paper has new arms!! As you can see the old arms on the left had seen better days and were in dire need of a makeover! The new arms feature a fully banded cuff at the top for added comfort and hand stitched perforations. They look so much better! Check it out.

No commentsAnime Central [ACEN]
ACEN was awesome! We had a great time, saw lots of familiar faces, met some new fans and found some Happi Plushies new homes. ACEN was the debut of all Rainy Day MomoCheet merchandise, and by the looks of things she was a big hit! Friday saw the initiation of Happi to the ACEN crowd, followed by a few questions of whether or not we were doing a panel again this year, which we didn’t as we were only two people and not three like last year. We are planning one for next year though with some really cool giveaways and prizes. Our booth this year was near the back of the hall close to the autograph area it turned out very nice, we even came up with a way to elevate our Happi Paper Plushies. Check it out.

Happi Paper on Display
You can also see the much coveted Rainy Day Momo Tee. One of the most adorable moments came after I learned that a little girl was playing hide and seek with Happi by darting just out of sight and laughing hysterically. She and her parents kept dropping by the booth to visit Happi. On Saturday they stopped by one last time at which time the little girl told her parents that “he says he wants to go home with us” while holding the Happi Paper Plush that was on the table. Which makes this my favorite picture of the convention.

Too Kyoot!
Be sure to check out all of the ACEN 2009 pics in BeKyoot Gallery they are up.
To The Windy City We Go!
Anime Central is this weekend, May 8 - 10, in the Chicago area, Rosemont actually, and Christy and I are driving up this time. We had planned on leaving early on Wednesday morning but because our new round of printing was not yet completed we didn’t get out of Houston until 4:30 pm, which of course put us in a bit thicker traffic than we had planned on. It was quite comical trying to fit the last bit of stuff into the van at the printer. Ultimately we had to liberate three Happi’s from their box and fit them in where we could. Two of them wound up staring out the back of the van which was, to say the least, humorous.

Happi Has A View!
We wondered what some of the people who were behind us were thinking. LOL
Once we got moving out of the city we did pretty well. Around 11pm somewhere in Oklahoma headed towards Missouri we ran in to a ton of fog. After being ensconced in it for hours I decided enough was enough and as soon as we crossed into Missouri around 4:30 am I pulled over at the welcome center/rest area and snoozed until around 6 am when the sun had just come up, then hit the road again. I was wishing it was going to be a sunny day all the way up to Chicago but was to be disappointed as it was overcast the entire way. Not really a good thing when you’re running on less than two hours of sleep. Regardless we made great time and got in to the convention center in Rosemont before 4 pm. Now the fun begins, after, of course, I get a cool 8 plus hours of sleep before the doors open to the public in the morning at 10 am.

Rainy Day MomoCheet has arrived. She will debut at ACEN this weekend on a new pale blue tee, a messenger bag, and an apron. She is absolutely adorable.
You can get yours here! ^_^

Be sure to check out all of the awesome pics from Sakura Con they are finally up in the BeKyoot Gallery. This is my favorite pic from the Convention.

He used his last few dollars to buy a Happi Plushie and gave me some chocolate easter eggs in return for taking his picture. *^_^* Thanks!
No commentsOn The Way Down…
Left Seattle Monday morning with a much lighter load. Which of course meant that the headlights were actually aimed more at the road and less at the other drivers, and therefore I didn’t have others flashing me like I did on the way up. I made it to Billings MT around Midnight, I had decided that it would be better to get some rest rather than pushing on to the Ranch and then messing up my sleep schedule any more that it already is. Tuesday was a windy day but it was still an enjoyable drive. There was snow still on the ground from the latest blizzard that passed thru, but the roads were clear and dry. I arrived at the Ranch and spent a few days hanging out before heading home to Houston.

Sakura Con was a blast! This was the debut of the brand new Happi Paper Plush. No one could resist giving him a squeeze.

We made a pyramid out of several of the Happi Plushies.

Happi Paper Plush Pyramid
We are hoping to get some pictures in from those that purchased a happi plushie showing where happi has been. So if you have a happi plush and take him somewhere cool, historic or unusual send us a pic with a description on where in the world happi is. We will be posting them as we get them. I want to give a special thanks to all of Christy’s friends that stopped by the booth to help out. We really appreciated the help and laughter, plus it meant that Happi could go out and great his fans.
An additional thanks go to Brett who was there all three days and was a life saver. Thanks.
